While foosball balls are simple in design, they come in several variations. Most balls are made from either hard rubber or dense cork. The variations in materials can affect the sound and speed of the ball.

Cork is the traditional material of foosball balls. Many purists only use cork balls on their tables. These tend to make less noise and are slower moving.

If you’re looking for speed, than purchasing smooth foosball balls is the best option. These balls tend to roll faster than textured balls and are usually only recommended for serious foosball players. They can be purchased in a myriad of colors.
